Yet another reason (as if I need any more) to hate Microsoft.
Since they took over Skype, they are enforcing their will slowly and surely.
We use it at work for messaging, but probably not for much longer.
I just wanted an account with Skype but seemed forced down the route of signing up for a bloody Microsoft account that I did not want.
Somehow I finally stumbled over this page and it seems you can create JUST a Skype account without the associated M$ crap.
I'm sure it won't last forever, so it enjoy it whilst you can.
